Teton Valley Activities: Music on Main: This past week, the Teton Valley Foundation announced its Summer 2015 lineup. This summer also marks the incredible milestone of the 10th Anniversary.  The Teton Valley Foundation has reached a place where we can consistently book incredible bands because people WANT to play here despite our nonprofit budget.   It’s also because our talent booker Pete from Toasted Buffalo Productions  works his magic thanks to his deep industry connections and steadfast support of our mission.  The end result is that we will continue to host incredible bands. Driggs Idaho Activities: Grand Targhee Cardboard Box Derby

If you are visiting Teton Valley in April,  mark on your list of Driggs Idaho activities: Grand Targhee Cardboard Box Derby.  For fifteen years, kids and “grown-up kids” have enjoyed participating in this creative tradition. Since 2000, Grand Targhee – arguably the most family-friendly ski resort in west has hosted the fun and exciting cardboard box derby on closing weekend. That was until now. This year, the derby will rake place on Saturday, April 11. Hopefully a bluebird day will be our backdrop. Lucky for snow enthusiasts, this will NOT be the closing weekend of the resort!   Driggs, Idaho activities: The Great Snowfest of 2015. If you have the chance while visiting, you should really take a stroll downtotwn and marvel at the snow sculptures that will emerge from the pounded giant cubes that are being presently compacted. Idaho backcountry skiing: Teton Canyon is the hidden gem. Except that is not really hidden. When you stay at  Teton Valley Cabins, you are only 5 miles from the trailhead whose parking lot has a hovering Grand Teton Peak looming overhead. The Teton Canyon trail is on U.S. Forest Service land. This trail is the first to be groomed in the fall and the last to be groomed in the spring. It is easy to reflect on our beautiful summer season by remembering all of the Teton Valley Wildflowers! With such a beautiful Fall, we have been lucky enough to spot several varieties even  into the month of September.  There are many species of native wildflowers that grow within a few miles of Teton Valley Cabins, and if you climb in elevation, such as on your way to or  during your time spent at Grand Targhee, you will find a series of other sets who like it more intense –  with tolerances of harsher  wind, temperatures, and sun!  The best times to see wildflowers at their peak…

      If you are visiting Teton Valley at the end of April,  mark on your list of Driggs Idaho activities: Grand Targhee exciting season finale. Our local mountain chose to host a post-season event as a capstone to the end of the regular 2013-2014 winter season.
