Teton Valley, Idaho has a wide variety of wonderful opportunities for fishing. From valley reservoirs to broad scenic rivers to high mountain streams to alpine lakes, Teton Valley has it all. A fishing license is required to fish in Idaho. From Driggs, Idaho there are several rivers that are considered fishing hot spots. Many outfitters offer guided services on the following rivers.



Henry’s Fork is a stretch of mellow water between Island Park and Ashton. It is open for fishing between May and October and is great for browns and rainbows. The South Fork of the Snake begins just after Palisades Reservoir and is known for Yellowstone Cutthroat, rainbows, brown. It is open for fishing from May through October. A great fishing section for spotted cutthroat is the Snake River just south of Jackson from May through October. The Salt River runs through Star Valley just southwest of Jackson. This cooler water is open for fishing from July through September. The Teton River sits in northern Teton Valley, Idaho and is known for its trout fishing. It is also a great spot to see migrating birds. The Fall River is located about 20 miles east of Ashton, Idaho. Walk upstream from the end of the road at Cave Falls for great rainbow trout fishing.
