Jackson Lake
![]() Jackson Lake is a beautiful fresh water reservoir located toward the northern entrance of Grand Teton National Park. It sits at the base of the magnificent Mount Moran and always offers the most spectacular views of the Cathedral Group of the Tetons from the north. Although it seems you have the lake to yourself, Jackson Lake is open for use to motorized boats and camping. Sail boats, fishing boats, and wakeboard/waterski boats are often sighted on the lake during the months of July and August, when the water is its warmest. There are a handful of camping spots along the lake. You must have a permit to camp at these locations and these are the only campsites in the park that allow campfires. Jackson Lake is also a great spot to fish for cutthroat, lake, brook, and brown trout. |
