Mesa Falls North of Ashton, Idaho and just south of West Yellowstone, Montana, sit the beautiful Mesa Falls. This scenic byway begins in Ashton as an alternate route to reach the west Yellowstone entrance from the south. The Mesa Falls Scenic Byway runs along the rim of the Yellowstone Volcanic Caldera before dipping down to the Henry's Fork, a well known fly fishing river. There are two sets of falls, the upper and lower, and you must pay a small fee (~$5) to park and walk the boardwalk down to the falls.
