Summertime Live Music in Teton Valley, Idaho

Summertime live music in Teton Valley, Idaho can be added to your list of the abundance of things to do while you are visiting the quiet side of the Tetons. In other posts, I have written and raved about the free music in Victor on Thursdays at the city park, but this little blurb will be completely dedicated to honoring the fabulous music festivals at Grand Targhee Resort every summer.

The backdrop would not be more impressive if you created it, but the peaks, clean mountain air, the dropping crisp tempertarues at night, food, drinks, and camping options make these festivals the best in the west. Why not start with the Targhee Fest firing up on July 14th, just around the corner? You will settle in and enjoy phenominal performances ranging from Michael Franti and Galactic to Lukas Nelson and Leftover Salmon.  Grand Targhee is no rookie to the music scence. This tradition began at 7800 vertical feet in 2005 and they have been fine tuning it ever since.  Tickets are available at just a single click. Mark your calendars! Three days of unmatchable music in one place. July 14th, 15th, 16th.

Now lets talk about musical celebration that is older than most computers, cell phones, and seedless watermelons for that matter! The Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival turns 30 this year. Nick named the “Grand Daddy of the bluegrass festival in the Northern Rockies, this event won’t dissapoint. A good spot to be August 11th through August 13th is on the slope of Grand Targhee Resort. Here you will listen to Sam Bush, Railroad Earth and others.

So….camp if you want, hula hoop, eat, drink and be merry with ringing ears. But, we would also love to have you at Teton Valley Cabins. Come stay with us, we are only ten short minutes from pillow to music.
